The Asset Library is the user interface for the Document Management System built into this application. It is a repository of files published through a workflow or added from the desktop of users.
By default, Recently Modified Files are displayed in the Asset Library. The user can select My Files by clicking on the drop down to display the files added by the user. Click Upload Files to upload files directly from the desktop.
There are two tabs called Search and Browse in the left panel as shown in the image below.
The Asset Library has a robust search functionality that allows the user to perform either free text search or metadata/facet based search.
Free Text Search – type the file name or any associated metadata in the text box to retrieve the file
Metadata/Facet based Search – Facets refer to grouping based on the metadata associated with a document. For ex: Artwork Code, Component Type, File Type, Formulation,Manufactured By etc.
Browse option allows the user to see files based on a file system hierarchy as shown in the screenshot below.
